Burton Step On
The goal of this project was to build trust in the Step On binding, a new interaction model in a sport known for skepticism toward products that seem “too easy.” Working closely with the creative director, I helped synthesize research, define the target audience, and identify the key barriers to adoption. We explored both educational first and hype driven design approaches through lo fi wireframes, tested concepts, and refined them into evidence based hi fi designs. Following launch, enthusiasm for the Step On binding increased significantly, and we conducted a retrospective to understand what worked and what could be improved for future campaigns.
